About The Last Golfer

In The Last Golfer, a robot scout from planet Earth is sent on a mission to explore and survey unknown planets. During its journey, the robot crash-lands on a strange planet with golf courses spread across multiple biomes. The guardians of these desolate realms make sure no intruders leave in one piece. The only way back home is forward through the fairways.
Each golf course consists of six golf holes. Players are free to progress at their own pace. They can soak in the sights to enjoy a leisurely round or try to hit a new speedrun record, chipping their way through a total of 54 challenging golf holes. Here's how mouse input works with our innovative swing system: the animation on the right shows different swings you can play. The key aspects of Golf include driving, chipping, and putting to get the best score possible. The physics has been developed for years to ensure the best off-Earth golf experience this side of Orion! The robot can find Mulligan tokens and use them to rewind shots. To enable maximum golf synergy, the robot can practice with a holographic ball using the Sim Shot mode before committing to a real swing.

Killer Greens

Play the exciting Adventure Mode to experience a new kind of battle on the fairways! Players can aim and throw clubs to defend themselves from adversaries. The clock will keep ticking during combat, so players must choose to stand and fight or run away for a faster time. After completing golf holes, travel along data streams to unlock hidden relics, which can be discovered using the robot’s built-in tracking system. In the adventure mode, completing each golf hole unlocks a short challenge. Perform well to unlock one of the many trials that only the most tenacious robot will be able to conquer.

Explore beyond the fairway in search of that never-before-seen view!

Players aren’t limited to staying on the course. The views are stunning, and discoveries await to be found with some exploring. The game features a day-night cycle, which provides a wide range of visual rewards. Chill out and watch the sunrise. Take advantage of the scenery with a state-of-the-art photo mode, because sometimes the best shots on a golf course are taken with a camera.

Key Features

  • A unique adventure mode presents two ways to play the game: the Director’s cut and the Extended cut. The Director’s cut presents the robot’s journey the way it is meant to be experienced. After the Director’s cut of the adventure mode is completed, players can re-live the experience a second time with additional courses in the special Extended adventure mode.
  • Players can also go back at any time and revisit their favorite completed sections of the game through Chapter Mode.
  • Golf Mode provides a quick round of golf that lets players focus on improving their best score and time.
  • Nine exciting 6-hole golf courses designed to allow quick play sessions and maximum replayability.
  • Enjoy realistic golf physics including driving, wedge shots, and putting.
  • Features a modern swing system that allows a continuous club swing to closely mimic the physics of actual swing mechanics.
  • Includes the new Sim Shot practice mode, which allows unlimited practice shots before committing to an important shot.
  • Explore multiple biomes in an abandoned world and discover secret digital dream levels containing additional challenges.
  • Take shots of beautiful sunsets with the photo mode.

Didn't go into the game expecting the puzzle elements, but they ended up being one of my favourite parts. Physically swinging the mouse to hit the ball is great. Irl I think I am now better at golfing, gliding, and using my golf clubs as projectile weaponry.

Only a couple hours in at the moment but right from the start, the golf feels satisfying and in my first few minutes, I had nearly sunk a hole in one. Now the chase is on for that perfect shot! The rail riding sections are a blast, adding a challenging but relaxing mix up between holes. The combat in between shots keeps the pace fresh and exciting. Together, they make a unique gameplay loop that has me wanting to find perfection with every swing, ride and encounter.

I got an eagle! I liked the golfing and like real golf, some of your shots are not going to land on the fairway. It's not your standard three button swing system rather you swing by moving you mouse and that felt pretty natural after a few tries. I like single-player games and the music adds a lot to the atmosphere too. Recommended!

Only a couple hours in, but its very promising. The sound design is good, and thank GOD for the sim golf shots when it comes to experimenting. Looking forward to continuing with this.

Wonderfully atmospheric and desolate. Major highlight is the mouse control scheme for golf strokes, which quickly becomes natural and intuitive through practice. Highly recommended for those seeking a tactile and solitary experience.

As an older, casual gamer, I find a lot of modern games a bit too much. "The Last Golfer" was a pleasant surprise. It's easy to pick up, with intuitive controls, even for an old fart like me, and is quite enjoyable. So far I've mostly played Golf mode and am just starting to explore Adventure mode - love the idea of throwing my clubs as weapons - reflects my playing style in real life... Highly recommended.
