I got this game from indiepocalypse #1 This game is great and one of the best games I have played! A retro style adventure game with some cosmic horror mixed in that ends up being so much more! Right up my alley. When [REDACTED] got me for the first time it was such a good moment. When [REDACTED] appeared in [REDACTED] I ended up staying up 2 hours later than planed going down the rabbit hole. This game literally makes you feel like you stumbled across a one of a kind game at the flea market with a faded label that (criminally) no one has heard of. I literally dreamt of this game the night after when I put it down

Super cool game! I am literally going to spoil a mechanic here so stop reading if you wanna go in cold, which you should. The solution to some of the puzzles in the game are found outside of the game, and they're done very well. There's a few things you gotta do that just starts you out completely confused, but it feels pretty darn keen to get a solution to click and you start browsin a internet for clues. Short (if you're smart) and sweet, and lots of low % cheevos to get to grow your epeen

Very SPOOOOOOKY GAME! The Gameplay, Music, art, and story are Fantastic! A variety of rooms to explore and scary Monsters. The puzzles are hard and you need to use creative problem solving to unlock the mysteries of the Mansion.

The Manse on Soracca maintains a great retro adventure game feel with some modern twists and conveniences. While I wouldn't call it outright scary, it does maintain a consistently eerie atmosphere the whole way through and the monsters are dangerous enough to keep tension high. Exploration feels good with plenty of secrets and shortcuts to uncover and I nearly always had two or more locations to choose between poking around in. Many of the puzzles are likewise clever and require you to think outside the box. You're also in luck if you like flavor text as nearly every object in the mansion can be interacted with for a good mix of lore, clues, and humor. The only nitpicks I have are that the retro "load times" can feel a bit tedious if you frequently change areas or die multiple times in a row and the monsters in the basement never felt threatening. But these really are minor complaints. The Manse on Soracca is an all-around very solid experience with enough content on a single playthrough to easily justify the $5 price, let alone if you replay it on higher difficulties and/or for speedruns.

Played through this a while ago but wanted to come back and give a review. This is a fantastic game. The puzzles are hard (especially with essentially zero outside help), but rewarding. It’s also amazingly creepy and always had me on edge trying to figure out what to do and how to survive! It’s a shame that so few know of this game. I really hope the devs make a sequel or new game like this again. Probably one of the best Lovecraftian video games I've ever played!
