The Midnight Walk

Mostly just negative for now to catch attention. This has some Unreal Engine BS I haven't seen for a while, as if UE doesn't already cause enough issues. I'll give a real review once I play, but honestly can't believe i couldn't find any discussion about the locked framerate or mouse smoothing that make this feel horrible to play with a keyboard and mouse. If you want to get rid of the nausea inducing drunk mouse mode: Go to Users\<your_user_id>\AppData\Local\TheMidnightWalk\Saved\Config\Windows Open engine.ini and paste this at the bottom and save: [/Script/Engine.Engine] bUseVSync=False FrameRateLimit=0.000000 [/Script/Engine.InputSettings] bEnableMouseSmoothing=False bViewAccelerationEnabled=False [/Script/Engine.RendererSettings] r.OneFrameThreadLag=0 r.VSync=0

Nice short game with a claymation aesthetic similarly to Harold Halibut. I played on desktop so I can't comment on the VR functions. There is a lack of interactivity I feel, leading to most challenges in the game amounting to stealth sections or really simple puzzles, but that isn't really the draw the game's best strength is the music and art style. However I feel the games story was too short with it only having 3 levels with real meat and the rest being way to short. If you like story driven short games like Journey and Herdlings you'd like this game.

Unplayable on steam frame. Really a bummer, it looked really good. I will re-purchase if ever fixed.

it's ok. Bought it for VR but there is a performance issue so I played it on PC. If you want it for VR, get it from somewhere else without the buggy patch that broke VR
