About The Starlit Oasis

“The Starlit Oasis” follows the story of one man as he is bought and employed by the titular establishment, one of the finest brothels in the land of Halmond.Generations ago, mankind lived on a single island with only the most primitive technology. They lived simple lives where their biggest worries were about where to find their next meal and wars were only over basic survival resources. But one day, a storm struck the island, and when the maelstrom finally cleared the island that humans had called home had been transported to a whole new world. The Isle of Man had appeared next to a much larger landmass – and this new territory was not uninhabited. Five races call Halmond, the name of this new country, their home:
  • High Elves
  • Dark Elves
  • Orcs
  • Demonkin
  • Amazons
Apparently, this is not the first time that humans had appeared on Halmond, and the five races combined their might before attacking the human island. They feared that their old foe, a powerful human nation known simply as the Empire, had returned. But after using their magic to examine the minds of their prisoners, it was discovered that these humans bore no connection to the long-absent threat. But it was decided that it was far too risky for humans to live without supervision.Half of the human population was enslaved and distributed throughout Halmond, while the other half was left to construct a new settlement on the Isle of Man under the watchful eye of their new overlords. These races were matriarchal in nature, meaning women held most of the positions of power. But both male and female of these new peoples discovered an attraction for the humans.Humans became considered exotic and thus had a desirable allure for many wealthy members of the other races. Some enterprising individuals even set up brothels featuring humans as their primary attraction. One such business is the Starlit Oasis. This visual novel will detail the events of our main character’s new life as an employee of a brothel featuring human men and all the fantastical women he encounters along the way.

The Starlit Oasis is a kinetic AVN that is very clearly made by a developer with little prior experience. Story-wise, it’s extremely simple: you play as a human male who gets enslaved and sold to a brothel, where he has sex with various women of different races. That’s essentially all there is to it. The writing matches that simplicity. It’s basic, but at least grammatically correct, which already puts it above some other beginner projects. That said, since the premise makes it obvious that the focus is meant to be on sex, the actual sex scenes are disappointing. They’re very basic, lack erotic atmosphere, and don’t deliver on erotic writing. Most scenes also feel very similar to each other and oddly romance-like, despite the fact that the MC is having sex with people he literally just met and doesn`t know the preferences of. None of the scenes are animated either, and the renders are fairly low quality—which is understandable given that this is clearly a first project. One small positive is that the developer did at least include background music, so the game isn’t completely silent. Other than that, there isn’t much more to say. The content is very short, with the first two cha…

Too blasted short. Needs a rather long sequel. Gets good, then suddenly ends.
