Seems well built it gave me some hard web based level maker vibes till I started really playing around and walked to the next cell and realized this bugger has SOOO! much more to it than just a little platforming level, for something so simplified It does a hellovalot! wonderful engine and a very considerate Dev behind it, if ya find a bug He is very swift to respond and try to help troubleshoot the issue Would rec using and again please be sure to reach out to him! Barch is most definitely the rare gem of a dev who cares it works.

"The Unfolding Engine: Paint a Game" is not a game, first and foremost, the developer put this in the games section instead of the software section, whether through incompetence or a deliberate intention to mislead gamers is unclear. Anyway, they did this then they abandoned it, roughly a year ago. This is basically a 2D retro platformer construction kit (ugh, that sounds like a "build your own lung infection kit" kind of application), the gimmick being you can play as you design the levels. The developer incorrectly and misleadingly describes this as "2.5 D", it's not, it's 2D with parallaxing. Which is not at all close to 3D or even true 2.5D. It's also garbage for a few other reasons, if you decide to pretend this is a game (which it doesn't really qualify as that much). This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley su…

Игра 'The Unfolding Engine: Paint a Game' – это уникальный и захватывающий опыт, сочетающий в себе творчество и интерактивность.

Kind of reminds me of Sploder, an old Flash-based game creation site that used to exist (it exists, but Flash doesn't, so it's a dead site). That being said, resources and creative tools here seem fairly limited, but for a just-for-fun tool to make a game, it does well enough. I kind of suck at it, it's not as easy as something like RPG Maker or something, and heck, Sploder felt easier to learn when it came to 2D sidescroller creation, But Sploder died with the death of Flash, so this is here, and Sploder's not. I'd recommend it, just not my cup of tea.
