There Exists is a VR narrative experience that brings to light the emotional and complex realities of first contact between English settlers and the Traditional Owners of the land in 1790s New South Wales, Australia.Told through the intertwined lives of an English indentured servant and the Dharug people whose land was being taken, the story reveals the quiet moments, brutal ruptures, and fragile connections that defined this early colonial period.Developed in collaboration with First Nations and UK-based artists, historians, and cultural consultants, There Exists draws from archival records, oral histories, and extensive research to reconstruct a past too often silenced.
