LOST EMBER - VR Edition

Lost ember is an amazing game that I will always recommend play. The VR port however is completely unplayable, at least on Meta Quest 3. I had to use computer controls to get the cutscene to start at all, cutscene was extremely glitchy, and when the cutscene was over I could not make my player character walk.

Original game is wonderful. The VR port is awful.

It feels like the developer never tested this game in VR. It's a buggy mess and like half the things are rendered in screen space rather than 3D. I never have motion sickness in proper VR games, but this one is not an enjoyable experience.

I don't understand why I can't use my vr headsets controllers and why once I cliched play my screen doubled.

From the beginning, the VR is lacking.... - You cannot use your VR hand controllers, so you either have to couple it with a keyboard or another controller. - The opening scene is so close to your face that it makes you feel like your eyes are crossed. You see double and have to close one eye to see anything and the skip button is hard to see, especially when you need to realize that you have to HOLD the button and not just press it. And it isn't just the opening scene they do this. - I never get motion sick & have played multiple other VR games with never an issue, but the way this VR is done, I got incredibly queasy and had to stop playing. - You CANNOT look around and move at the same time as the character will automatically start moving the way you are looking. - Cut scenes frequently have your eyes at ground level, not low, literally as if you are an ant on the ground trying to watch an entire scene. I thought I just needed to recenter. Nope. Also it frequently wants you to look way off to the side, but when you try and look off to the side the scene jumps back to center. Just really awkward angles. - It frequently has your character off-center, making it hard to navigate and …
