Trashed, developed by Josh Presseisen and published by Crescent Moon Games, is an ambitious indie title that attempts to fuse resource management, automation, base building, and light action combat into a single, unconventional experience. Set on a distant, garbage-choked planet, the game casts the player as the operator of a struggling waste disposal operation tasked with cleaning up an endless stream of refuse dumped from orbit. From the outset, Trashed presents a clear and unusual fantasy: turning trash into profit while preventing your base and the surrounding environment from collapsing under the weight of uncontrolled waste. At the heart of the experience is a management loop centered on collecting, processing, and disposing of massive quantities of garbage. Ships periodically drop heaps of trash around your base, forcing you to react quickly or risk being overwhelmed. Early on, much of this work is manual, with players physically pushing trash into processing zones or rudimentary machines. Over time, the game opens up into a more satisfying automation sandbox, allowing you to build conveyor belts, recyclers, incinerators, and other industrial tools that streamline operation…

This game had so much potential and genuinely looked like it was going to be a great game, but the developer ruined it by abandoning the project and going silent early in its development.

Clever initial idea, poorly executed and abandoned before it ever really got off its feet.
