Trivia Tycoon is a Who Wants to be a Millionaire clone with a sprinkling of personality, but feels quite basic and a little buggy in areas. Trivia Tycoon is based on the classic gameshow "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and there are obvious similarities like the three lifelines (ask the audience, phone a friend, and 50/50), and the rising amount of money with safety zones at £1000 and £32000. There are thirty seconds to answer each question or you can walk away and keep what you have earned, but what's the fun in that!? Where the game differs however is that it has nine categories to choose from and all questions will be on the category you chose, rather than a mixed bag. There's also the option to choose Millionaire, with fifteen questions, and Billionaire, with thirty five questions. At the end of your run, your score is recorded in the stats. There are meant to be nine thousand questions but when I played for an hour I got repeated questions which I wasn't expecting. The timer is completely messed up. I pressed an answer with two seco…

Trivia Tycoon by Jasper Labs is a game show-style trivia experience that focuses on tension, pacing, and personality rather than complex mechanics or innovation. It builds its identity around the familiar structure of answering questions to climb a prize ladder, but what gives it a bit more presence is how it frames that structure. Instead of feeling like a static quiz interface, the game presents itself as a staged event, complete with reactive hosts and a sense of progression that mirrors televised competition formats. The result is something that feels more interactive and engaging than a typical trivia app, even if the underlying mechanics remain simple. The gameplay revolves around answering multiple-choice questions drawn from a large pool of topics, including general knowledge, science, entertainment, and more. Each correct answer moves the player further along a sequence of increasingly difficult questions, raising both the stakes and the potential reward. What makes this structure effective is the constant tension it creates. At any point, players must decide whether to continue pushing forward for a higher reward or stop and secure what they have already earned. This ris…
