About Unnatural Season Two

Sometimes all you can do is delay the inevitable. A new organization has risen from the ashes of the Supernatural Response Team, and you are its leader. Take command and decide how it evolves.

Unnatural Season Two is a 700,000 word interactive horror novel by Sam Kabell, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Encounter Unnaturals both old and new. You’ve dealt with vampires, werewolves, and zombies before, but how will you handle new and previously unknown threats? How will you handle the awakening of once dormant Unnaturals, an ancient danger beyond anything anyone living has faced?
Reforge bonds with the surviving members of the SRT and make some new friends and allies, too. Interview and recruit up to four potential teammates: Avery Daye, a detective who specializes in missing persons related to Unnatural cases; Jennifer Maki, a former veterinarian trained to deal with animal-based Unnaturals; Cassandra Brown, a former member of the Boston Branch of the SRT—or have your actions in Season One set you up to recruit a mysterious returning companion? Import your Unnatural Season One save to find out!

As you move deeper into the Unnatural world, your journey continues to be shaped by it. Past is present as further investigation into your heritage brings new revelations to light. Evolve your power and learn more about the origins of the Azure, potentially discovering how their powers shape your own.

People look to you to protect the innocent from these intersections where the everyday and the supernatural collide.
 • Play as male, female or nonbinary; be straight, gay, bi or choose to focus on friendship instead.
 • Continue your romance with your paramour from Season One or pursue one of five new love interests.
 • Guide Silver Cross Incorporated to protect the innocent from foes human and Unnatural alike.
 • Manage your funding between four departments: research, security, technology, and training. The responsibility and consequences are yours.
 • Choose which cases you take on and who you bring with you—will you bring the best person for the job or will you bring someone you want to get to know better?
 • Utilize an updated threat level system to identify which cases your team takes on, maximizing their chances for both success and survival.
 • Focus on your powers, or rely on your technology. Not all cases need to end in violence; maybe you can talk your way out?
Your time for following orders is done. In Unnatural Season Two, it is time for you to lead.

To be perfectly honest, it ends up feeling like half a story rather than a complete story arc. It would have been more engaging if it wasn't broken into a Part One and a "to be continued" Part Two. As it makes the ending rather unsatisfying.

Didn't know this was planned as a series, so having enjoyed the first game, this was a very pleasant surprise! There's a lot of characters to get to know and interact with, both in your team and out in the world. That said, the members of your team really shine, with some great moments to share and mysteries to unravel--can be hard to pick a favorite
I'm lying, it's Denise.
I liked the cases in the first game, and the cases in this game don't disappoint (particularly the game's take on a classic story). You have a lot of options as to how to approach each case, what equipment you bring along, who comes with you, what kind of attitude you want to adopt, how to respond to threats, etc. that together can create some really unexpected outcomes. Choices from the first game do impact this game in a variety of ways, from relatively small things like being able to identify the likely agency affiliation of an individual, to more significant things like what powers you have access to, which characters you might encounter (or whether they are even alive), and even certain case availability. We are also introduced to a fair number of new Unnaturals in this game, whi…

its a good narrative game but too short for me to be called a game. A 12 hours game with no ending. At the end the game just started to develop. Not gonna lie i think i was scammed, in a sense that i expected the story to end. At full price the game doesn't deserve it. More word are needed to be call a game.

I was surprised to see this come out 5 years after I played the first one. Both games are an enjoyable urban fantasy/horror romp with some clever ideas , like being able to choose which missions your team works on. Make no mistake: this is a continuation from Season One. However, the things I thought were "bugs" in the first book are MUCH worse here. Either the author did not bother playtesting the game or Hosted Games did not because the number of repeated passages and character names changing from whats in the story to different names in the dossier it's embarrassing the author's work. It all still works though, which is probably why it got released in such a state. Recommended with caveats.
