Vacation Adventures: Park Ranger 14

All the games in this series are great, but this one seems especially entertaining! HO are cleverly hidden in dynamic scenes full of good looking detail. There are extra HO to find for each scene (trash and wildlife) too. The music and ambient sounds are perfect and there is always a "story" of sorts to follow. In between the HO scenes are (skippable) puzzles including Scene Differences, Jigsaws, Find a Word, Match Pairs, Rotate Photo Squares or Switch Photo Strips and such. I personally dislike the Math Problem puzzles and the Circle scene where you click the rings (to make the picture) but clicking one ring moves another. For an overall experience I think these Vacation Park Ranger games are among the top games for HO enjoyment!

I like these types of games for their mindlessness, and this fits the bill. No penalty for mis-clicks, no timer, barely a backstory. I do think it could benefit from a zoom feature as some items are a bit small for the scene. This is only the second game in this series I've played, but both have been heavy on Americana and military representation, which might appeal to some. I found it a bit out of place juxtaposed with the park theme.

Fun HOG with a basic story. Making up your own details about their story is lots of fun.
