About Villienville. Echoes of Deception

Villienville: Echoes of Deception is a narrative role-playing game about the fate of mercenary Vesper, who by fate finds himself in the mysterious village: Villienville. You will have to investigate who benefits from the appearance of mysterious "ghosts" and help the locals to protect their homes from an unknown enemy. But make your choices carefully - any mistake can lead to terrible consequences!

Wounded during the fulfillment of the contract to protect the caravan, Vesper decided to stay for treatment in the first village he found. However, everything turned out to be not so simple and the hero will have to investigate the appearance of mystical "ghosts", gaining the trust of the locals, the church and nomads. In this cruel medieval world no one forgives mistakes, so you need to think carefully about the consequences of your own actions!

Game Features:

Character Relationships

A multitude of characters, each of which can help solve the mystery of Villienville and protect the village, though you'll have to earn their trust to do so. Villagers, nomads, bandits and churchmen - each of them will require their own special approach!

Interactive Story

The game is divided into two different chapters. In the first one, Vesper will have to investigate with a real court, and in the second one he will have to engage in a battle with an as yet unknown enemy. The hero's actions in the first chapter will significantly affect the course of events in the second, and each choice can lead to completely unpredictable consequences.

Different endings

There are 11 different winning endings in the game, not counting the losing and early endings. Although, no one forbids you to leave Villenville at the end of the first chapter, you will have to thoroughly explore the world of the game and all possible variants of events to discover all the winning endings.

The art is very clearly done with AI (probably the text too) and I don't see this clarified anywhere.

has a a lot of future potential but too much reading and scrolling (constantly dying and having to restart). Doesn't seem like a lot of content as well. It's priced low so maybe someone else would enjoy it. I have some suggestions to improve it: -reduce text. too much reading. -there should be pages instead of one giant scrollable area. also scrolling so not fun if you're trying to redo choices (maybe add a button to scroll to bottom) some other minor issues/comments: -It's strange to refer to main character as in 3rd person (He, Vesper etc), normally the player is the main character -some english translations are a bit off. I would ask a native speaker to help correct them Text based choice games are actually very fun but rare and I think if you keep working on this (or your next game project) you could achieve a lot of success. Quite a bad game. Basically a text based game. It is supposed to be medieval but it has a an Iphone messaging app look to it. The font is completely modern, smartphone like, again. There are walls of repeating text and no way to scroll faster. So you are endlessly scrolling your mouse cause you di and have to restart every two minutes. Musical ambience is a loop of some seconds of music Drawings looks AI but apparently arent.
