About Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden

Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden is set on a remote chain of islands that have been protected by the maidens for generations, but which now face destruction. The hero of the story vows to save the islanders and sets sail for the high seas, together with Laty, a girl who failed to become a maiden.

The second game in the unique Voice of Cards series, where all elements are presented entirely through the medium of cards, in the tradition of tabletop RPGs and gamebooks.

A touching tale set in a world of melancholic beauty, brought to you by YOKO TARO (Creative Director), Keiichi Okabe (Music Director) and Kimihiko Fujisaka (Character Designer).

*This game is not a direct sequel to Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars. Both stories can be enjoyed as standalone game experiences.
*You may find that the gamemaster occasionally stumbles, corrects themselves or needs to clear their throat, in order to give you the most immersive and true to life Tabletop RPG experience.
*This product is also included in other bundles sold separately. Please take care not to re-purchase the same content.
* Please be aware that parts of the game which require an internet connection may cease to be supported at any point.

~8kb for cloud save is diabolical... System crushed -> Re-installed -> I should be ok, cuz game has cloud save -> last cloud save was at early stage of a game... What is this game synced all the time? Dunno... Gameplay wise it's basically the same as a first game but longer and more repetitive. Story is less interesting, but ok - just 5/10. Art is good but more than half of it was in the first game. In general - this game is skippable, if u have better games to play.

Not as good as the first, but more emotional. Still a solid little RPG.

The 2nd game doesn't change much from the first. It still looks great, still sounds awesome. It added a few systems, added "minigame" like story moments (like sneaking around cards that patrol), but those happen rarely. Besides those, everything added is a downgrade and it holds the game down compared to the first one. It feels like the changes haven't really been thought through fully: - you have more party members but you can't change most characters gear, nor do they get xp, which keeps them weak even if you level, and reduces gear choice. - you have combo moves that cost more gems, and requires a duo to be able to use them (basiclly just a check if the partner is alive and not stunned or something), but the gem economy is the same as game 1, which results in more characters passing turns to charge up for big moves. - in general i feel like a lot of moves havent been thought through: same characters have weaker moves that cost more or have massive downsides. - the random battle encounter rate is insane. its roughly every 4-5 tiles. and because enemies are tankier and only half your team levels, and only one char can fully change gear: you dont oneshot anymore if you are high l…
