First things first, the story mode doesn’t feature any real gameplay. You simply follow the narrative by clicking through comic book panels. The artwork is nicely drawn, and the speech bubbles appear automatically, but you control when to move to the next panel, which gives you plenty of time to read everything at your own pace. If you accidentally click too fast, you can always go back and review previous panels. Some scenes don’t fully fit on the screen, so parts of the background stick out beneath the panel window. There are also no voiceovers, so the experience relies entirely on text, music, and the occasional sound effect. The story itself is split into eight short chapters, each of which can be completed in just a few minutes since there isn’t much dialogue and most of the charm comes from the artwork. It follows a young writer on his way to the Capital to deliver his manuscript. Running late, he decides to take a shortcut through the woods, and the journey soon inspires him with ideas for another story.
