I played this game alongside a few friends where we each acted out the characters. Reading the story out loud with other people was a fun experience, and I think helped me in catching a lot of things I wouldn't notice had I read it to myself. This review will try to be deep and informative as possible while staying succinct and not spoil any major plot points. It'll be organized as such: 1. The town of Seishin Tekina feels lived in and was nice to explore and learn about. It had neat history and locations, and captured that small coastal town vibe. The growing relationship between Shouta and the other characters was fun to watch. The only glaring issue I had with the plot structure was the fact that it's split into a sort of 2 act structure, but the climax of the story ends with the first act, and then the second act comes in and happens. Indie games are something I tend to avoid when I can, especially when it comes to visual novels. However, this one is different, in the fact that compared to other Ren'py projects, it offers some really fresh and new ideas that I haven't seen before. It's a short and sweet project and has lovable characters, scenes, and story. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a story that keeps you wanting to read more.

Watashi Suzume is a neat little visual novel that is best experienced blind, so I won't bother touching on details here, I'll try to only share my overall thoughts on the game. The game is well crafted, with pretty visuals and appealing storytelling and writing. On top of the pleasing story It also tries to "game-ify" the genre by introducing a couple of mechanics that in theory should make it more interesting to play. Unfortunately these mechanics are only used sparingly to the point where they don't make a significant enough impact on either the story or how I played the game. It should also be mentioned that while impressive, for the first project of a small team, there are some small nitpicks I would like to go over. For starters I did encounter a few grammatical errors on my playthrough (I got the True ending btw), which didn't take away from the experience but they are noticable on a game that is 99% reading. The visuals, while very pretty, should also be criticised for how inconsistent they are.
