About Agnostic Requiem

The text of the game is about 60,000 words, and it takes about two hours to play.

This is a tale of celebrating and rebelling against this peculiar world, where all joys and sorrows originate from the end, reflecting the "beginning."

In "Agnostic Requiem," you will play as Shang Chenyue, a young girl who has lost her dear friend (probably this name...?), in order to investigate the truth behind her friend's death. You will delve into the mysterious religious conflicts with her, peeling away the layers of lies that shroud faith, and seeking the illusory truth of this world.
Facing the worship that has taken root in this world for millions of years, the girl is not the first rebel, but she is the luckiest one. She has the fortune to encounter the heart of tragedy in the vortex called life, and with it, she uncovers the long-standing roots of conspiracy.

In the face of the truth, should she remain in the peaceful illusion or unveil the curtain of this dream, revealing the world's grim nature to the world?

Perhaps, as she explores the truth, you will also catch glimpses of things that subvert cognition from this bottomless and vast vortex.
Observe this story carefully, for all the answers have quietly emerged.

When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This garbage e-book is both horribly cringey and horribly creepy... it's a book about investigating a mystery, the main character is the author's imaginary girlfriend/waifu in this "dating sim" e-book, and the authors imaginary girlfriend looks suspiciously underaged... creepy and cringey, I don't know why Valve allows this stuff on Steam. The authors underage imaginary girlfriend aside, the writing here is worse than your average high school anime club fan-fiction. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrib…
