WavePlayer is a single player 2D pixelart wave survival game, the goal of the game is to defeat all of the enemies that spawn in intervals using a legendary Warrior and emerge victorious from the depths of the deep circling forests and caves.
You can play as a mage with explosive energy blasts or a spirit archer of the wood, who's arrows can pierce through multiple monsters.
Experience a beautiful 2D Pixel game as you battle jumping acidic slimes and angry flies who phase through the terrain.
Winding lush forest with the sounds of an ancient past and elder trees looming over the sky sheltering the creatures below.
An ancient cave with glowing mushrooms that paint a magenta film over the towering cavern columns.
Learn to traverse the map, dodging enemies and surviving the waves using the environment to achieve victory.

This was a really fun little game. The environments are beautiful, the music is nice, and combat is pretty fun. Definitely worth checking out.2 found this helpful
"WavePlayer" is a student project from Abilene Christian University in Texas. One of the first things students should be taught in game development is that 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid 1990's with dedicated 3D cards like the Voodoo3 and the ATI Rage. But the students were deliberately mistaught that's it's okay to release obsolete 2D games in the 3D era of gaming... certainly any professional developer seeing a prospective new hire who doesn't even know about 3D gaming probably isn't going to give them a job. Worse, not only is it a 2D game in the era of gaming, it's a garbage pixelcrap platformer. Seriously, paying money to be taught how to make games in 2025, and the instructor tells you that you're making pixelcrap because that's apparently all the computers in 2025 can handle? What kind of BS is that? Needless to say if an educational institution taught me incorrectly on purpose, I'd ask for my money back. We also have to question what value there is for gamers on Steam when institutions flood the store with low quality 2D video game homework assignments... sure, it might make the students feel good about themselves, but this has no benefit for gamers who hav…
