Wave Jumper

"Wave Jumper" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This garbageware platformer at least seems sincerely, if badly made. The game combines a couple of game modes, mostly badly done platforming, some Flappy Bird ripoff gameplay, and one of the major "selling" points is the developer also ripped off Atari's Pong, so we're really creatively bankrupt on this rebadging of a lot of other people's games. The platforming genre is pretty much obsolete... just a tiny number of professionally developed platformers exist on PC and offer any real value or interest to gamers (Silksong, etc). This is nowhere near being as good as Hollow Knight or Silksong. Even without a price tag, it's easy to see why gamers ignored this in favor of modern, professionally developed 3D games. I LOVE IT ! Very fun game to be honest. by the way, i've collected all the steam achievements for Wave Jumper in like hour and half of play... I recommend this game ! Special mention to the World 7, i've played this game for 4 hours and i have still some issues about finish the final world. I will play more for know this game perfectly... (and upgrade my playtime)
