Amazing game, barely any bugs considering it is early access, easy to learn, games are quick and fun, highly recommended

[i]Waves of the Alantide (WA)[/i] is a real-time strategy title with its core focus centering primarily on the rising ‘battle royale’ formula. There is nothing terribly impressive in terms of aesthetics with this title, however discussed below are the concepts that elicit moderate praise with this Early Access title. I must admit that I was not able to play against any human connections, however the single-player mode was thoroughly assessed for this writing. The privilege to analyze this content came at the behest of a keycode sent sent for review purposes.[/h1] Here are a few reasons to evade a ‘sinking feeling’ in [i]WA[/i]: Gameplay - As is customary with the stated templates, players erect and mobilize armies toward enemy encampments with the goal of being the determinable victor, all without succumbing to a collapsing continent. The map is delegated to a hexagonal grid with each action such as movement, colonizing, and attacking requiring a timed cool-down effect. Strategy is governed by placement of cities isolated from the encroaching water’s edge, which demolishes any structures…

Very nice game, totally indie, totally cool and totally multiplayer. If you play this game against other people, friends or not, remember two things: - Nobody is your friend on Atlantide. - Fear the ocean because he is running after you.

Waves of the Atlantide is a game that's surprisingly a lot more strategic than I anticipated. The gameplay feels a tad bit like Risk, but with some city-building and a battle royale-like twist, in which its grids will decay over time (different tiles will have different rates of decay) and collapse into the sea regardless of whatever that's on them, be it a bunch of troops or a city. [h1]Pros & Cons[/h1] [b]Pros[/b] + Very unique and strategic gameplay that's really easy to get into but can be hard to master. I'm a fan of both strategy games (RT and turn-based) and Risk, and have played my fair share of them. I thought I've seen them all... but apparently not :P + Matches end rather quickly. Within my 40-minute Let's Play video - I've gone through the story intro and the tutorial, lost a match, and won a match :) + AIs come in different difficulty levels. Best start with easy and work your way up from there. + For some reason, I just love watching the grids crumble into the sea. "Waves of the Atlantide" is an unusual hybrid of RTS and Battle Royale... and such a game concept could work if implemented properly by ethical developers. Waves of the Atlantide was not implemented properly, and the developers proved to be highly unethical. The concept certainly is sound enough, you rush build aggressively (this was not a casual game) and then use your resources to thump enemies assuming you outbuild them. Like I said, it could work. The game was abandoned roughly 8 months after launch and hasn't been updated in almost 5 years. It blew past the developers commitment to complete the game without any notification or admission of failure from the developer. The game will never be completed. SteamDB shows the game hit all-time peak player numbers just after launch, with only a tiny 7 concurrent users, which is a pitiful number, and now the game has practically no players, with nobody playing at all, just one or two people logging on every week or so then qui…

Its ok game, you have to in very hurry and opponents in baby mode is also very speedy. So its recommended that set difficulty properly.
