Breakwaters: Crystal Tides

Stuck in Early Access limbo. This game was released in Early Access back in 2021. It is now 2026, and it is still in the exact same state. The game has massive potential as an open-world survival title, but unfortunately, the developers seem to have gone silent. The last minor update was released in 2025, and it has been over 6 months since we’ve heard any news or updates from the team. Because of this lack of communication and progress, I cannot recommend the game to anyone right now. I will check back on it later, and if the situation improves, I will gladly update my review

I doubt this game ever gets finished. If it does, the developer will probably do another small update and stamp the 1.0 flag on it.

Early access with no significant updates for over a year (and no updates at all for over half a year). So it seems abandoned, I'd avoid unless things change.

think its dead guys dont bother

Purchased this game with all the hope in the world, but it was just unplayable, even though my computer is fairly decent specs - the main issue was that the water graphics were far too overspec'd and not worth it - there are just as good water mechanics in other games, and they are at least playable. Very disappointed and made this known to the creator, as it limits who can actually play this game, and for what, water that is supposed to be the most realistic - that is not sustainable. It would have been better focusing on gameplay and content rather than overspec'd graphics that render the game unplayable for most people.
