About Willful
Willful is an adventure game that borrows elements from Mega Man, Metroid, and other classics from the 80s and 90s.
The Player takes up arms as a sacrificial offering named Will.
As the player explores the different areas in the game they can spend money on powerups and golden carrots which grant access to new worlds.
It's up to you to stop the reign of a mysterious entity named Behemoth, and his group of crazed followers!

I am John Willful Considering this is one of Luke's earliest public projects AND like four dollars, it's pretty damn good. Going for 100% will yield a good bit of playtime, and you probably won't even have to look up a walkthrough (which is fortunate, because I don't think this game has any).2 found this helpful
Willful is yet another retro 2D pixel platformer infesting Steam. In this one you play a anthropomorphic rabbit, which should make furries happy. Jump around sci-fi platforms and collect carrots. There may be other aspects to the game but it's hard to tell because the controls don't map properly and can't be customised. There's also jarring view changes as you move between "doors", zooming in and out wildly and disorientatingly. My guess is the developer hasn't played a video game since 1993. Either way, this compares very poorly to most other games released in the last 20 or so years.2 found this helpful

You can tell it was made by a single person, but still pretty good. It is missing some of the polished controls that modern platformers have (for example cyote time feels weird). But the game has a good number of levels with some good gameplay. I forget how much it costs but anything around the <3 dollar mark seems pretty good.
VERY well tuned platforming, I love the art style, I love the dialog, I love how short and simple it is, It's just a great game.
