It's an RPG Maker game that isn't inspired by Earthbound! (I never played Earthbound)
Play as Shouta Kitano, travelling through the lands of a dying world in a parallel universe and save the world by bringing the core to the underground facility made by his dad. Through his journey, he will make friends that join his quest to get to the facility. He won't just meet new friends, he will also meet a strange man who tries to stop him from delivering the core by sending some hired mercenaries.

This is a pretty good game for a beta, the world is a bit small and some part of the world seem like they could use some expanding but it's still seems fun none the less!1 found this helpful
i like the story
It's a short but enjoyable game. The combat is simple and easily exploitable, but the writing and characters are enjoyable. I'd say I'd enjoyed my time with this game, even if it is still in beta and thus is rather rough around the edges.
World Zero is a short yet fun game with great characters, art and dialogue. I 100% recommend it, especially since it's free.
on a steam deck, the controls are horrific imo. its all touch screen and if you dont press exactly the right spot it wont trigger an action. also bumped into a snake instantly and died. that said, im aware its a first game and i really like the story. its free to play and covers 4 hours worth of entertainment, so cant complain. i made a good decision to download it.
