Players appreciate Zompizza's addictive core gameplay loop that blends pizza delivery management with zombie apocalypse driving, praising its surprising depth, satisfying "one more run" appeal, and competent execution of its absurd concept. However, many note the game feels rough around the edges and would benefit from polish, quality-of-life improvements, and more polished mechanics, with some comparing it unfavorably to older arcade driving games and criticizing the engine and lack of visual feedback like gore effects.
The game is pizza delivery in a zombie apocalypse. There is some fun depth here in this very simplistic game, I found myself really enjoying pushing myself to deliver as many pizzas as possible per day in the small time frame the game gives you. The gameplay loop is extremely satisfying and would love some more QOL updates in the future.7 found this helpful
Sometimes a game will surprise you. I wasn’t expecting very much from Zompizza. Maybe a few hours of arcade racing, something just this side of a mobile port of Crazy Taxi crossed with Carmageddon. Then I fired up the game and found a post apocalyptic pizzeria management and survival game. So if you’re keeping score, it’s like if Crazy Taxi and Carmageddon had a child that then went on to produce a grandchild with This War of Mine. I am incredibly impressed. Not the least because that combination sounds terrible. Like mixing up olives and maraschino cherries on a pizza. But it works! The game nails that “just one more run” feeling that the best management games have, as well as having competent driving mechanics that, at the very least, don’t get in the way. Also, using the drift button to fling zombies who are clinging to your hood in every direction is surprisingly satisfying. The loop of the game is simple: every day you are trying to earn enough money to build a spaceship. You start by choosing at least one pizza to deliver. You make the pizza with whatever ingredients you have that match the order. Then you drive around the voxel apocalypse to deliver the pizza or pizzas.…4 found this helpful
This game needs some work but it is a great concept for such a small group of people4 found this helpful
It has a fun base, could be much more better and polished but it has a good start, will play more, it's a small indie game2 found this helpful
Zompizza : The Last Delivery is an offbeat and entertaining hybrid that blends light management mechanics with frantic action in a world that has already gone completely off the rails. Developed and published by Broken Toilet Games, the game takes a deliberately absurd premise and commits to it wholeheartedly: civilization may be collapsing under a zombie apocalypse, but people still want their pizza delivered hot and on time. This playful contradiction defines the tone of the experience, creating a game that balances humor and tension while never losing sight of its simple, addictive core loop. At the heart of the game is the cycle of taking orders, preparing pizzas, and venturing out into zombie-infested streets to complete deliveries before time runs out. The management side is intentionally streamlined, focusing more on pacing and decision-making than on complex simulation systems. You’re constantly weighing how many orders to take, how quickly you can prepare them, and whether your current vehicle is up to the task. Once you hit the road, the game shifts gears into a tense delivery challenge where speed, route planning, and quick reactions become critical. The transition from…1 found this helpful
Compare this too the pre PS2 and PSP road-rage games. This is not a good game, nor on a good engine. I FREAKING HATE untiy engine. Play the og Xbox RoadKillTM game. Where is even the gore and ragdolls.1 found this helpful
