SCP: Fragmented Minds

I wish you could review chapters separately because my experience with chapter 1 was completely different than chapter 2. (some spoiler warning, not for the story but for game mechanics) Starting off with chapter 1, I only have positives to say. The chapter felt complete and like it had a lot of love put into it. There was tension and you got introduced to the game's mechanics. the story was good. the characters were a little meh, and the characters animations a little weird but it's a minor thing. The chapter takes the time to build itself and the world around you, it's slow but it's a good kind of slow. it allows you to take in the world before facing actual enemies. The environments were all so pretty and the outdoor area where you get to wander on mars for a bit was insanely cool (something we didn't really see in chapter 2 AT ALL which I found disappointing) Something I was glad to see that was included in the chapter was platforming and there was quite a bit of it and there some sections that was just parkour sections which I loved (also absent from chapter 2 in a way, more on that later). I am excited for more content in this game

I am not an SCP fan, but I like survival horror games and immersive sims. I can't tell you if this game is actually accurate to SCP because my knowledge of it is limited and I don't really care about authenticity to the source material in this case. Already a very good vertical slice. But compared to full fledged games it doesn't remotely hold a candle to them. Technical: Game is pretty well optimized even at this state. The UI is very nice to use. There is alot of stutter when the game is attempting to discretely load in a new area but it didn't bother me much. This game has alot of very noticeable texture pop-in. Unless you play on Ultra settings the graphics do have very low res alternatives and many places do not have proper "medium" or "high" substitutes. The graphics themselves look nice in certain setpiece areas but in many places it looks very rough, particularly certain particle effects like rocks falling look awful. I do hope they go back and give the earlier areas a graphics pass. Immersion: The fullbody awareness is nice. The animations for everything look really good and fortunately none of the environmental interaction animations or QTE take an unnecessary …

I came here for 049 and I was not let down at all. The game was fun pretty challenging and has a lot of love put into it. The care for the scp lore is clear and the universe is well set up! I found myself exploring a lot more than i normally do! there were some bugs and some rough patches like some stuttering and glitching into the floor plus some enemies feel like bullet sponges sometimes. please make the scp 049 plushie real and for purchase hes so cute

Nice game. Not best action horror game but if you love SCP universe, worth to give a try. Except for that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss fight in chapter 1. Im glad they didnt add anything like that in chapter 2. i will keep following.(Also have some performance issues but not unexpected from an early access game, keep it in mind if you wanna try)
