I have been a Resident Evil fan and have always stayed away from Silent Hill but it was on special so I thought "what the hell" purchased it and I have to say it is a really great game and totally recommended. I do recommend playing with lights out, widescreen, 7.1 surround sound, you will get everything from the game this way. 9/10.
Amazing atmosphere, haven't played the original, but after reading multiple other reviews and seeing some scenes, anybody can tell that they put a lot of love into this remake. If you enjoy survival horror like Resident Evil, then this game is a must play! Needed to read some explanations for certain plot points online, but I don't mind, this game and the writers of it are not afraid to make you really think about the smallest details. Great character writing with a very complex, compelling protagonist.
True to the old style of games in both a good and bad way. Not as clear as modern games when it comes to finding things, but very nice graphically.
silent hill is probably one of the best thing to ever exist
