Cry of Fear originally started out as a Half-Life 1 modification, set in the same vein as the classic survival horror games of old. 4 years in the making and picking up several modding awards on the way, it is now a free, standalone game for anyone to enjoy. Beware though, it's not for the faint of heart.

if your a fan of resident evil or other similar horror games id give it a shot especially for free if your a linux user though there are a couple bugs

The 1# best free horror game ever made without a single doubt. Too bad the developer (Andreas Rönnberg) is a pedophile, but if you can separate the art from the artist then you can appreciate how good the game is. Graphics are good considering the game was made on the Source Engine, gameplay is good, story is great, voice acting is pretty sh*t but you don't talk much anyway so in my opinion the game is still great. 9/10 game 0/10 dev
