About Crown Of Hispania

Early Access Demo is Available! You can play as Castilla for 10 years.Development Roadmap for 2026.Rewrite the Reconquista in a grand strategy game where population, religion, and war evolve dynamically based on your decisions. Will you become a legendary ruler, or will you be rejected by those forgotten by history? "Inspired by Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV, but with deeper population simulation and dynamic systems."-Trustable Person (me)Why this game is DIFFERENT :
  • Fully simulated population: Every character, culture, and religion exists as a living population that grows, migrates, and reacts dynamically to your decisions.
  • Free army movement: Move armies freely across the map without province restrictions, enabling realistic strategies, flanking, and positioning.
  • Clever AI: The AI is designed to be challenging rather than passive, forcing the player to deal with difficult situations.
  • Dynamic battles: Unique engagement system, making battles more realistic and immersive.
  • Cooler: I have no idea if you will read all of this so just wishlist the game because it's really cool.
The History Behind the GameCrown of Hispania is a grand strategy game set in the turbulent 11th-century Iberian Peninsula. You’ll start in 1035 AD, after the death of Sancho III of Navarre, with the region split between rival Christian kingdoms in the north and fragmented Muslim taifas in the south.I'm not going to lie, it was a bit of a weird time, but hey, “Violence is sometimes THE solution” (an actual quote from a museum historian in France). So I guess it's cool.👍As a noble of this tumultuous era, you'll have to write your own legend. Every decision, whether made on the battlefield, in the council chambers or in the shadows of a conspiracy, will shape your dynasty and determine your place in history. Will you consolidate your authority over your lands, or let your vassals tear each other apart for power? Will you take back Toledo and Granada for Christianity, or negotiate a fragile coexistence with your Muslim neighbors?Coming soon to Early AccessCrown of Hispania is Early in development and actively evolving with community feedback development phase. We have completed a detailed topographical map with over 300 provinces, meticulously designed to reflect the diverse terrain of the Iberian Peninsula and its neighboring regions. The core mechanics are fully designed for the Early Access, including advanced systems for Economy, Country Management, Technology, Court and Land Warfare, guaranteeing a richly immersive experience.
Cultural and Religious systems will be basic and reworked after the Early Access launch. With your support, we aim to refine these elements, improve AI quality and deliver a game that evolves with your strategies, creating an unparalleled grand strategy experience.Give us positive reviews because the game will be perfect in 5 years. What You Actually Do
  • Stare at the Map for hours: The most important aspect of a grand strategy game is to make you lose as much time as possible reenacting history and LARPing.
  • Expand your realm through war or diplomacy: Conquer territories through strategic warfare or secure your dominance with alliances, marriages, and political maneuvering.
  • Manage populations and religious tensions: Balance cultures and faiths within your realm as populations evolve, convert, and react to your rule... stability is never guaranteed.
  • Grow your country’s economy: Develop your lands through construction, increase trade value, and enact powerful decrees to strengthen your economy and sustain your expansion.
  • Shape history through dynamic events: Experience a world that evolves based on your decisions, where no campaign unfolds the same way twice.
  • Manage your court and receive missions from your Council: Oversee your court, navigate internal politics, and complete missions assigned by your Council to secure influence and guide your realm’s future.
Who Are We
  • 4 Superior Humans doing what Paradox Interactive can't. (Completely false)

I have seen it too often in other games, please take steps to keep the general course of history intact and make breaking it actually a challenge."-Angry person                                     "Does it counts as a tax writeoff?" -\

For a game that was only an idea two years ago, CoH's release is certainly promising for a small studio. While the scale of the game may be limited to 11th century Iberia, CoH takes the best elements of CK, EU and Vicky and implements them well with its own spin on the grand strategy genre. The devs also seems very receptive to feedback from the playtest, And have been honest about what they can and can't implement within their means. The transparency is refreshing when others studios in this genre seem unable to follow that example, all the while charging the consumer a premium. I'm looking forward to CoH's journey to full release, and have high hopes that Regalis Studio will craft a great grand strategy game, and will continue to listen to their players feedback.

It's a really good game even for an early acess ! My favorite aspect of the game is the art direction ! I really love the aspect of the map and the character design ! Even the icons have great details for their size (you made me laugh hard for the dwarf one) ! I really want to see more of this game and I hope you'll be able to continue working on it !

I have followed this game since its inception and honestly never expected it to get past the Kickstarter scam phase, but here we are in Early Access. The province and population/demographic systems are, maybe overly, involved, but if you have some basic experience with MAP (uooooh) games, you can jump in, play on Normal, and just enjoy painting the map. There’s plenty of depth already and everything tells there will be more to come. You opressed Sefardim's culture :D

Has a good amt of CK influence and I enjoy the mechanics and premise of the game when it comes to choosing a "strategy" before field battles, financing & hiring councilmen, and set in medieval Spain. (lower decal texture btw game still buggy) CIERRA Y SANTIAGO, ESPAÑA

Good game for the fans of grand strategies games. Easy to get into, the tutorial is good enough. Complex enough with lot of options and choices to enjoy differents games and different directions for your country. Ambiance with music is chill and i like the graphism which are unique. Some system could be refined like the battles but the current early version is complete enough to make a full campaign. Very good potential for futur releases. P.S: You can make Crown of Occitania and teach occitan to all spain, you know that's a good game

It's a great foundation for a game. It's honestly a throwback to the 2000s era. It has been so nice to follow the development from the first days and seeing it put on Steam, I hope to see the game grow into itself. I can feel the care put into the game and it's the first major game coming from this tiny studio. For an early access it feels more complete than some releases, it has all the major functionalities working, the economic and pop development and growth, the war and court management. The game feels primed to put meat on its bones, I can't wait to see what the devs bring through the next 12 months of EA.
