Winter Burrow

Highly recommend this game if you want a story driven crafting game with cute characters and a cozy vibe. The mechanics are a little tedious at times, but the game progresses in such a nice pace that you just get a little bit annoyed before you achieve the task. The survival aspect is pretty easy, managing the food intake and the warmth gets really easy after a while. I wish the enemies was a little more aggressive as the game progresses, since they are pretty easy to kill once you get the better axe/pickaxe. Doesn't feel so rewarding in the late game. The characters you interact with are so cute and all have such a unique story! And the tasks you do for them aren't very repetitive. Also, LOVE the cut scene art, it's so adorable. Hope I can find more games like this, it really made me so relaxed and happy when I played it <3

I enjoyed playing this game as is not full of complicated instructions and felt like playing a game in the universe of "The Wind in the Willows", The story is consistent with what you would expect from a children's book which is another plus to this cozy game. Sadly it doesn't take long to finish but on the flip side is not filled with unnecessary grind.

Winter Burrow feels like an cozy and endearing bed time story come to life in game form. It's short so, I recommend grabbing it during a sale. Since the average playtime is about 8 hours. The art style feels inspired by games like Don't Starve, whilst having the animal crossing like twist. The story, the music and the characters of this game captured my heart in seconds. Even after 100% this game awhile back, I felt the need to write a review. Because everything about this game feels unique and memorable. My only con for this game is that the movement might feel slow- but it's easily fixable by creating food recipes that make you walk faster. I bought this on a whim, during the winter. Wanting to find something to kick back to- me, being a lover of the survival genre found my interest peaked by this little hidden gem. It immerses you into the role of a mouse going out to find its old secluded childhood home- to start life anew, during the harsh conditions of winter. The winter brings the survival ascepts into it and the brutal reality of trying to survive out in the wild. Great game! I loved the art, and it was the cutest survival game I'ver every played! Wish there was more content, but I'm hopeful there will be updates and/or dlc!

While there are some glitches, I really enjoyed playing this and would love to see a number 2 game.

I really enjoyed playing Winter Burrow. I played it on the PC after the most recent update and I experienced only one glitch - sometimes the game wouldn't craft items after I clicked "craft" so I had to close and re-open the crafting menu. The game is peaceful, cozy, and allows you to play at your own pace. I enjoyed the artwork and sound track. I have spent twenty dollars to watch a movie at the theaters... so the price at 20 dollars for ten hours of entertainment felt justified to me for this game. Also.. I am not an 100 percent achievement hunter, but if i were, I would be frustrated at the grindy-ness for the achievements. Overall, I would recommend. :)
