✦ AI summary

Players appreciate this survival game's fresh take on the genre with its vehicle-focused mechanics, base upgrading, and mysterious storyline that keeps them engaged, along with regular updates and unique features like armor upgrades and location takeovers. Common criticisms include the small map size (explained by early access status), loot table imbalances where common items are too rare, some graphical glitches when beams activate, and concerns about progression feeling too easy early on with too many resources available too quickly, though players note the game has potential and the negativ

This game has got true potential to be a master piece and probably blow some top rated games out of the water I love the idea behind it it is very playable right now just some creases to iron out like when looting or going to drive after a fight reload takes priority but no big deal. Not sure about game pad controls right trigger to select it's usually A to select but again no big deal. This game is still early days but the Dev seems committed which is a good thing, it takes a lot of hard work headaches and pains to develop a game without the likes of Valve, Bethesda or EA Games backing you remember this when you're having a rant about things not going the way YOU want them too or the way they should. I hope this game becomes mod friendly so you can play the way you want to play and maybe help fix some bugs along the way. All in All I would highly recommend this game if you like playing games similar to this one.

Yet another game that I can’t just launch offline through its exe file because a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ developer wants to use valves absolutely ♥♥♥♥ drm. I will thumbs ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ down any game even if it’s good if it uses ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ drm. There’s zero use in using such anti consumer methods. If ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NINTENDO doesn’t force us to verify that we are allowed to play a game that we ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DOWNLOADED onto our system then there’s no reason anyone else should. This is why gog is better.

Not sure where the hate comes from on this game. I'm about 6 hours in and it's as good or better than alot of survival games out there. It has a different approach for sure but it's unique in a good way. The dev has pushed out like 12 updates in 8 months or something and they seem engaged. I'm having a blast so far and can't wait to see where it goes. The only complaint I have is I wish it was harder actually. There's water everywhere, fuel everywhere, very little enemies that I've ran across so far and the ones I do see are easy to kill. Other than that I would definitely recommend this game to any fan of the survival genre.

While this game does have a lot of work left to finish polishing it up. It's a fun game with a great storyline. Also if I'm not mistaken, it's being built by one person so, cut them some slack. To the dev, keep up the good work. And I know you didn't ask for the advice but from one dev to another, prioritize bugs over features. A car with an awesome radio is worthless if the engine blows 1/2-way to the grocery store. Meaning, you can have all the "amazing" features in the world but if the mechanics are broken or the game crashes, people will rapidly get pissed off and walk away. I'd rather play something ugly but functional than beautiful and buggy as hell.

Just started but it seems like a fun RPG type game

I had a surprisingly good time with Outbreak Island. What I appreciated most was the developers' willingness to do something different instead of creating yet another generic zombie survival game. The story has real potential, and it kept me interested for almost a week because I genuinely wanted to see where it was going. For me, Outbreak Island already does some things better than other Early Access survival games like VEIN. It tries to stand out, and I think that's refreshing. Of course, there's still room for improvement. I'd love to see more base-building and expansion options, along with better balancing so that upgrades and progression feel more rewarding. Right now, that part still needs some work. If you're only looking for a game where you mindlessly kill zombies, this might not be for you. But if you're interested in a survival game that brings its own ideas to the table and isn't afraid to try something different, I'd definitely recommend giving Outbreak Island a chance. It has a solid foundation, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it grows with future updates. Thumbs up from me.
