Tribe: Primitive Builder

It's a $20 (frequently on sale for much less than that) game that delivers exactly what it says it does. A lot of the negative reviews mention it needing more updates or expansion, but it's a stand-alone single player game. It's not made to be played 50 times through. It looks good, runs well, tells a fun story, and delivers on it's promises. Some gamers are just never satisfied unless they get 5+ years worth of free content tacked on. What they fail to realize/acknowledge is that those things cost time and money, and not every game studio can/wants to make that kind of game. So if you want to just buy a game that's good as is, without waiting for the illusive promise of "future content" get this game. It's great.

Now that I've figured the mechanics and have played other games with same controls my confusion is not so, well..., confusing. I like the game; quests, crafting, building, etc. It's simpler than some of the FP games and more relaxing than some of them too.

This is another game where I would have given it something other than a negative rating if we had an option besides positive. I wouldn’t tell my friends that they need to buy this game. That said, it’s not terrible and is arguably worth the price if you play through it. To begin with, it’s very simplistic and holds your hand every step of the way. You can go off and do some of your own thing, but not much. Then, as the game progresses, the tribe management is also very simple and forces you to micromanage everything. It just completely falls apart as soon as you head to a new area and need resources, because the trading system isn’t very useful. It’s just on the low side of “meh” in my opinion. As I said, it’s not bad, per se, but I certainly won’t be the one telling anyone that they need to buy it.

Great game play loob is a bit repetitive but fun and a beautiful world

Could be much better. Finished one go in about 13 hours. Add another for completing the last achievements which are just alot of running around the map until enough population in village is achieved (104 not 100). Game is simplistic at best compared to other crafting/survival games. It could be an entry level to the genre who never played something similar. Otherwise extremely repetitive! Good for maybe for a £5 and a couple of days of spending some time building one more village for your tribe, but not full price for sure.
