This is an amazing game from an indie developer and I have trouble understanding the problems other had with it. If it's the tedious UI, I guess I'm used to the even worse from amazing titles like Dominion that it honestly doesn't bother me. The only thing this could use is more events and wider custom commander customization but otherwise this is an amazing game. It scratches the itch of stuff like Sengoku Rance if you actually enjoy the game and don't want H. It's a compact, fun, little game that the dev hopefully keeps refining.

Maybe the best grand strategy game i have ever played Chaos Galaxy 1 was great conceptually and made me interested, but it had many issues that made it hard to get into (Unfair difficulty, factions feeling samey, time-gated events that basically need a challenge run to trigger). Chaos Galaxy 2 basically fixes all those issues and reaches its full potential, being one of the rare games that kept my interest long enough that i 100%ed it With fun gameplay, nice lore and many factions to play as to keep the experience new, i fully recommend the game to anyone who likes the genre. There are some small quality-of-life complaints (Like the blueprints you get when you eliminate an enemy faction and the stats when creating a custom commander needing to be rolled through RNG rather than simply chosen by the player), but the game is absolutely worth it and amazing in every other aspect

Very solid game that gives you a universe very much worth exploring. Improves significantly on its predecessor by adding more depth to cultivating your planets, more uniqueness to each commander as they now come with unique flagships and can perform schemes for you on the galactic map, and a tech tree for researching alien-inspired units. The aliens are now a fully fleshed out playable faction and you can create custom factions/commanders to add your own spice to the galaxy. Only things I would change are I would really like to have the option to start the game with the map set to how it was in chaos galaxy 1, and I'd like to be able to read the CG1 versions of the lore blurbs for commanders and planets, but as it stands I can always go back to CG1 to experience such things.

A really solid tactical RPG game wrapped with a really straightforward and solid military-focused 4X game. It reminds me largely of Star Wars Rebellion, where your primary considerations are planetary defenses, assembling fleets, and moving carefully around to set up ideal battle conditions. Most significant 4X features -Numerous factions with a variety of substantive differences between them -Faction-unique skill trees, units, and buildings -Diplomacy options, including vassal states Really solid overall. It doesn't have any 3D graphics, so it's lower demand for processing power. Plus the the art is a very well done retro Gundam-adjacent style.

Played the first and was excited for the second. It looks like everything got polished, but some of my favorite factions like the Black Sultan got removed from the second. Also, Mouse won't let me go down in the map view. Not recommend, sadly.
