I have sunk a lot of hours into this game, offline and online. Not sure that all the offline hours have been captured. Easy to play, has that "one more turn" feel to it. Is a 4x type game. Have not bought all the expansions, and still have a great time playing. Multiplayer with friends is easy to set up and get going. It's easy to lose track of time while playing and suddenly find out it's way later than I intended.1 found this helpful
My favourite sci-fi 4X of all time. Holds up great almost 10 years after release. The graphics are beautiful and the UI clean and informative. The combat is deep and strategic - you set up the battlefield with different positions and tactics, press Play and watch the fight play out. It's very beautiful and cinematic, as the fighting takes place in 3D space inside the actual star systems, many of which are jaw-dropping to look at. Every faction plays completely different and feels like a whole new game. They all have an engaging questline to follow that lets you "evolve" them during the game into a different playstyle. For example with the Terran you can specialise into becoming an industrial powerhouse or a military regime. Systems feel strategic and buildings impactful. The population system is interesting and it's fun looking for species that complement your own. The diplomacy is just okay - it gets the job done for a turn based game. Diplomacy actions cost a resource that is used for empire-wide buffs so often you're too "poor" to engage in it. The factions can often be a bit too reluctant to interact with you as well. Tech is impactful, every tech gives you something new a…
Графика отличная, но на этом плюсы игры заканчиваются. Как будто альфа версия стеллариса с неудобным интерфейсом. Механики +- те же, но хуже. Единственная крутая механика - древо технологий. Удобное, понятное, даже поиск есть.
A tremendous blend of cinematics, customization and the most intuitive UI I have ever used.
I don't like Stellaris but this makes me wish I was playing Stellaris. The short: The UI of this game is absolute bull**it. 4x games don't typically have good UI, this game manages to be so below the bar that nobody should pay real dollars to play this. I built a thing, it should not be in the hangar. I should not be required to do extra zoom in and two clicks to move the unit. If Paradox is crushing your UI on quality your not doing so hot. Why would you not show planet stats when hovering colonisation (the same you get when hovering over the planet), why instead show a useless help tooltip? What is the purpose of animating solar systems (discovered planets)? I just spam a key to skip it after 2h playing the game. If I'm gonna play the game for 100+h what's the point, just remove it. Promoting an idea (e.g. science) in your empire automatically overrides all other precepts. I thought I had 50% penalty for science, but just clicking a button turns my starting Gov into science fanatics absolutely destroying happiness. Since of course government and race political propensities are different. So if I click science as a non science race the empire happiness tanks. Thanks game fo…
Gal Civ's was a far better 4x, from over 20 years ago. I consider this game a low quality, spam like knockoff of the genre. If you are debating this or Stellaris, get Stellaris.
