I wanna preface this by saying I really love Suda51's games, but this just did not land right at all. I feel like it is a linear game that they forced to be a rougelite as a way to squeeze more playtime out of players.

Now this...is a unique one. The aesthetic alone is worth the purchase and the story is actually very mature and i do mean mature in every way. The voice acting the graphics and the characters are all amazing with so much detail. I even noticed a change in the player character during a debuff that's really subtle but added a really nice touch. Im a rougelike fan so if you read my other reviews and check my game you'll see but i said that to say this...this is a really unique roguelike. The phantoms are really the core gameplay and you're supposed to follow your previous runs route for maximum effect. Nice weapons skllls upgrades and the typical progressions that we all know and love. It probably not for everybody but it's definitely for the most hardcore because its pretty difficult. Now for the devs I hope yall see this...I have one major suggestion and i believe it would improve the gameplay tremendously. The character is way too fast. If she slowed down like 30-35 percent 25 percent mimimal it would give it more controlled feel like on Dead Cells or Bloodstained rather. it's too many enemies on the screen too many phantoms and the enemies hit hard even on the regular diffic…

It's got bondage and serial killers and pinball. What else do you need from a game? (I'm glad i discovered this after the massive overhaul to combat. As it stands now, this game is pretty delightful in the expected weird SWERY way.)

First 10 minutes in the game be like: Basic movement, OK. Slash, heavy slash, I think I get this. Oh, this game also has range attacks. Great! A boss fight? Nice, bring it on. Charge!!! My HP Bar is disappearing, what's going on? (Down to 15HP) OK, don't pan..pan...pan..pannic, change tactical. Observe the boss movement. Hmm...It seems he only has ground attack. OK, jump, slash slash slash and pass him back and forth. Done! Oh, I got an achievement. Strangely, only like 13% of people get it. I am satisfied. :P I am just here for Suda51 and Swery. XD

If you love whacky games from the minds of SWERY and Suda51 then this game is for you. 7/10 cause the weapons utilization is pretty broken, but the visual art is trippy cool and gameplay design is pretty fun! Can be aggrivating at times if you don't have paitence for rouge-likes mechanics.

i really like the style of the game and the boss animations are beautiful. the dialogue and characters are also great. however i feel that it falls short on the combat. the combat doesn't feel that satisfying. I wish there were more special moves with the attack combos to spice things up a bit. as well as having attack combos that are a bit more flashy and fun to use.
