Dungeon Tells

A very fun deduction / logic puzzle game. Developer is communicative and has already released multiple patches adding many requested QOL features, such as a drawing tool, more readable font and the ability to save runs. Biggest of all the additions is the ability to view all of the hero abilities in the game during a run, and be able to see how they flip if that hero is dishonest. To be clear, this is much more of a logic puzzle game where you aim for a high score than a Werewolf style pure deduction game where you are primarily trying to find out who is good or evil. The puzzles can get quite complex the deeper into the game you get as you unlock more heroes and try out the many different modes of play - contrary to what some of the reviews say. It's evident by the low play time of those reviews that they never truly got into the meat of the game by unlocking more heroes and playing the alternate game modes. It can get quite challenging to work around the heroes' statements, abilities, alignment, levels and evolutions to find the best solution to a given puzzle. A great solo social deduction game! I can only play a few runs before my brain is fried from overthinking. I'm not too fond of the "my lvl is the avg of my neighbors" or the "a+b's sum is greater than c+d's sum". I do applaud the dev(s) for adding their own spin though. I really hope they make an offline mobile version! I would buy it again for this price, and play it a whole lot more!

What a fun little game. Its not a 'social deduction game' Its a logic game. If you like those, this is really very good. The take on the logic puzzles are unique and it took me a few runs before I started to figure it out. If you lose, no, its not a badly made game. Everything works right, you're just not fully understanding how it works. I went from a failure to not only beating all the difficulties, but also getting top in the leaderboards without using any outside guides or help. Took me around 7 hours for me to do all that and put it down for another game. But I really enjoyed my time and highly recommend the game to anyone who likes logic puzzles.

I think it's a very relaxing game, even by puzzle game standards. There's a few different game modes that feel different with a large variety in complexity and pace. Pretty good as a daily or end of day game.

Things I liked: The pixel art is pretty. The narrative conceit is fun. The problems: Gameplay isn't very difficult and gets unengaging fairly quickly. I want to piece together the info from every character to deduce who's lying and who's honest, but instead I could just use all my executes randomly before reading anything, which reveals the status of the executed, and thus usually gives me all the info I need. So if I want to actually deduce things from all the info the characters give, I have to self-impose a rule of not executing everybody to get info, which isn't fun.
