honestly ignoring the bad import, i'd say this was the best and most stressful game i've played so far with how unforgiving it is

I was able to get this running with the fixes, but the game didn't seem to read mouse inputs in anyway. Cursor stayed locked to the center of the screen and clicking did nothing. Game also didn't recognize my controller either. You're probably better off emulating this or playing on console. I'm sure there was a solution for the controls but I could not be bother to spend an hour researching to find it.

it gets to a specific point in the game where it crashes and kicks me out the game. every time at the same point. does anyone know how to fix that?

I've seen a lot of people bombard this game with negative reviews in its piracy-measure state (yeah, oddly enough, the Steam version of this game has been a pirated copy with its measures turned on this whole time, and we all just thought the game was just a buggy mess). But it's super easy to patch with the ManhuntFixer on GitHub. Telling ya, Rockstar was actually on a generational streak with their games in the early 2000s, and this game really is one of their keepers. You go up against some of the worst people in this game, who are also trying to hunt you down as well. The stealth mechanic really kept me going up until, for whatever reason, they just had to introduce gunfights to the game, which I think just ♥♥♥♥♥ all over what made the game good in the first place?? I can't even imagine some of the levels being possible on the console releases of the game. At least with the PC version, it's a bit easier to get headshots and whatnot, but it can still be super janky at times, I feel. Level 16 and up are just downright horrible with the introduction of the SMG into the whole gun mix. But if you can get past all of that, then I still think you're bound to have a pretty thrilling…
