The Guild 3 uniquely blends economic simulation, real-time strategy, and roleplay with dynamic seasons, multiplayer competition, and countless ways to gain power—from honest commerce to assassination and bribery.
In The Guild 3 you create a family dynasty which can last for centuries. While the world around you and your dynasty rearrange itself again and again - all non-player figures make their own decisions - you have to prove your skills in handicrafts and trading, at social occasion and finally in politics and in malicious intrigues.
The Guild 3 is a unique mixture of economic simulation, strategy game, historical life simulation and role playing game in real time 3D, with atmospheric voice recording and medieval soundtrack.

The game looks pretty at first, with much potential to build your own dynasty. However the lack of the most basic functions such as sales ledger, custom worker assignment, que actions while game is paused, que multiple actions, etc, does not exist. Everything quickly becomes VERY tedious (even with only 3 controllable characters). When my friend dc'ed and game doesn't even let me save was the final nail in coffin. This is a very unpolished game that plays like it's in alpha phase and no amount of mods out there could even save it.1 found this helpful
This is the type of game youre either going to LOVE or HATE without much in between. This game is as if a tycoon game, an RPG and an RTS (without the level of micro a normal RTS would have) had a child. If you dont like both styles of games, you probably wont like this. Really the closest thing to it that I've played is Kenshi, and it is barely comparable to Kenshi . While no one is pleased that the game is abandoned, it is not hard to see why that choice was made. The game never got much traction, and I'd bet that the dev is in some financial trouble. The point being that I do not think the dev took the money from the game and ran, I think the game lost them a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of money and at a certain point they couldn't keep bleeding forever. A new game is probably their only option. Sure that is their own doing, but at $30 the game is worth buying as it stands if an RTS RPG economy sim interests you, and you can handle some bugs. Most of the bad reviews are (justified) saltiness at how the dev handled the release and updates to this game, but that doesn't change the fact that it is worth $30. I don't have the same expectations for a $30 game as a $50 game, especially when the …1 found this helpful
