About The Guild II Renaissance

✦ AI summary

Build and manage a medieval town during the Renaissance as you navigate new professions, trade routes, and social hierarchies while watching your settlement flourish from feudal obscurity to mercantile prosperity. This expansion adds eight fresh professions, sprawling new regions, and deeper economic systems that transform how you develop your growing civilization.

For centuries Europe has been dominated by the church and nobility. On the shoulders of ordinary people the servants of god and the noble families justified their power and wealth. This was the incontrovertible, divine world order. A truly dark era…
In the 14th Century the world order is beginning to transform itself. Due to trade and commerce an increasing middle class obtains more and more power and wealth. Entire towns purchase their freedom and more privileges from the nobility. Reading and writing is no longer the domain of the nobility and the clergy and the invention of printing information may eventually be spread everywhere. This is the beginning of the renaissance...

Features:

  • 8 completely new professions: mercenary, grave digger, stonemason, juggler, innkeeper, banker, miller and the fruit grower
  • New goods, buildings, ambient details and effects
  • All new scenarios ("Transylvania", "The Rhineland" and "The Alps") & bigger world maps
  • Improved AI, title and nobility system as well as new options (e.g. “God Measures”, levels of difficulty)

Out of nowhere they just randomly decided to start updating one of my dearest childhood games. I am not crying, you're crying.

Not at all engaging

This is the objectively best game of all time without any doubt, thank you developers for reviving this masterpiece of a game as now I can convince other losers to play multiplayer again and get their businesses obliterated before getting their family members brutally murdered by me and my army of goons that make up half of the employed individuals in the Hanseatic League, we are so back with this one, truly.

Je absolutně insane, že The Guild 2 Renaissance bylo oživeno, a že navíc byl opraven nejhorší bug této hry a to "Out of Sync"...

Definitely worth playing, and it’s encouraging to see it getting some renewed support after so many quiet years. The updates are mostly small, but they do improve the game and show real attention to keeping it alive. Multiplayer especially still is quite messy but it's getting better with each update. This remains the best game in the series to date.
