What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Ratz Instagib captures the fast-paced, skill-based appeal of classic instagib shooters with smooth movement mechanics, satisfying gunplay, and a great soundtrack that makes it ideal for casual play with friends. Players appreciate how accessible and fun it is, though the main drawback is the small player base, making it harder to find random matches outside of coordinated group sessions. The general consensus suggests it's worth trying, particularly when playing with friends who share your interest in arena shooters.
This game is so great at promoting conversations with friends. We're fraggin each other mindlessly, giggling while doing so, and I'll take the opportunity to just be... vulnerable for a while. It's a satisfying game that fulfills a niche in my life.6 found this helpful
Preserves exactly why instagib (and rocket jumping) was so popular in the Quake era of shooters; though as usual for arena shooters you're going to need to find people willing to play it with you beforehand because finding random players via matchmaking is rare. But since it's so simple to get into and the music's perfect for it, this one's easier to recommend than usual.1 found this helpful

buy it now. literally perfect game.
yes
I picked this game up when it was on sale for $2, and I INSTANTLY loved it. The movement is so smooth, the gun is precise but forgiving, and even the bots you play against while waiting for players are really fun to fight against. My only critiques aren't much of anything, just know that Mouse2 is how you rocket jump, and I'm PERSONALLY not a fan of the rat faces, but I can barely see them with the saturated blue I use for enemies, so it doesn't matter lol DEFINITELY give this game a try, especially with friends. It's a shame not many people play it.
