Good game for good gamers, got a problem with that puss puss?

“Delta Force – Land Warrior” is the 3rd instalment of the first-person tactical shooter series, this time with a polygon engine. When it was released, the graphics were already outdated as were the game concept and mechanics (it was the same year “Project IGI” came out). For anyone who wants to experience the famous series and some nostalgia, you will probably still have fun. After about 5 hours of the main campaign and a total of 8,5 hours including the quick missions, here’s my pros/cons list: Pros: + graphic improvements compared to part 2 + higher resolution possible, although 1024x768 at the time of the release was lower than technically possible + big maps + long-range view + minimalistic game design true to its predecessors + saving during missions finally possible + weapons physics / ballistics + tactical approach can make somewhat of a difference + varied map landscapes + somewhat varied mission objectives, but become repetitive quickly Cons: - slow, inaccurate mouse aim - objectives are shown only after you enter a mission, instead of showing them during mission briefing - close quarters combat pretty bad - one shot even with a silenced weapon will many times alert…

I played when it first was released and it is still entertaining now like it was then although the graphics do fall down compared to modern games such as black ops or sniper elite but it is always good to coast down memory lane every now and then and in there day it was the state of the art so give it a try you just might get hooked.

very fun with the nostalgia factor, i played this back in 2002 or something. it might be rough for someone younger who has never played.

An older game with well thought out goals and large landscapes allowing you to go off mission to achieve the objective. When you explore the landscape you may well come across some surprises.
