About Delta Force: Task Force Dagger

As the US army's elite special operations soldiers you are the most potent 'smart weapon' known to man. You are the 'tip of the spear' for covert operations around the world — you are the first line of attack. Nothing stands in your way. From the war torn streets of Somalia you have been re-deployed to take out targets in Colombia and Iran. As the US military's preemptive strike force you must work with your team to get the job done.

Features

 • BECOME THE BEST — Play as any one of these Special Forces units: SFOD-Delta, 2/75th RANGER, SEAL Team 6, SFOD-SF Viper Team (Green Berets), CIA Special Operations, UK SAS 22 Regiment, Australian SASR, Canadian JTF-2, Marines Force Recon, and USAF CSAR (Air Force Pararescue) — all the actual Special Forces units deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom.
 • INFILTRATE ACTUAL LOCATIONS — 25 new Delta Force missions! Take over the Kandahar Airport, raid rebel headquarters in Mazar-e-Sharif, ambush a convoy near the Pakistani border and demolish bunkers in the foothills of Kabul.
 • OVER 30 WEAPONS TO CHOOSE FROM — Gear up with a huge arsenal of machine guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, pistols and rocket launchers new to the Delta Force series.
 • SPY ON THE ENEMY — Plan your attack with the element of surprise using visual intelligence gathered from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.
 • RAIN DESTRUCTION FROM THE SKIES — Call in devastating air strikes to take out key SAM and SCUD missile sites.
 • LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLAYER — Create your own multiplayer games and maps with the mission editor. 10 new multiplayer maps included! *Battle online via NovaWorld.

2000s junk. AI is weird, but mostly stupid. Maps are empty, but big. Still, it has its charm, and at least it runs medium well.
Only the dead have seen the end of war
It took me almost a month to get through Delta Force bootcamp. It's been ups and downs. But this is where I draw the line. I'm done. Not because in a row, but because it's just unplayable. Somehow this game had all the options to be better, if not equal to Land Warrior, but somehow it isn't.
Pros:
-More weapon sprites, I guess -Ability to play not as Delta. Instead of characters or faces we have units - CIA, SAS, CSAR, Rangers, Marines, SEAL, something else... In the game called "Delta Force".
Cons:
-No more briefing whatsoever. No destinations, navigations, nothing on the briefing. Where are we dropping, boys?! -No allies anymore. You're alone. Task Force... right. -No more any sort of plot. It's actually funny how little I need to be satisfied in the way of "why am I doing this?" - tell me the name of the group, what did they do. Here it's nothing - guess we're just fighting Afghanistan. -All the previous cons remain. -Quick missions ARE the campaign missions. -Softlocks if not straight up unplayable. I've ragequitted on the chopper mission because I just randomly fall off of it. In front of having no chopper sou…

You are allowed to pass some of the missions with cheats, some of them are softlocked and you have no other chance but to KNOW AHEAD and try your best to prevent the game from soft lock. You also get many interesting locations, of which there are 2: some arabic country with a desert, some arabic country with snow (somehow). It feels like a parody of itself, and you can clearly see why it's not mentioned as often as other games are. It's... something very strange, especially after the gorgeous Land Warrior. But yeah, it does somehow exist. Play it just for fun and do not treat it seriously.
