FINAL FANTASY III

My next stop in my Final Fantasy journey took me to Final Fantasy III. FF3 was another step forward for me, as I feel like they FF3 continued to expand on the first two games and add more interesting features and elements to FF3. For starters, the job system in FF3 is a very nice addition to the game, I was not the biggest fan of the leveling system in FF2, so the change to the job system was a nice one for me. I really like how many different types and options of jobs there are, as this adds a bigger variety of gameplay options that will vary depending on a players preference of class/job. You are basically required to use certain jobs like white mage for survival and a thief to open locks, but overall it was a nice change. The music was also really nice for me. The first two Final Fantasy games had a more limited musical selection throughout the game, and in FF3 I felt like it had the best variety and quality of music in the NES pixel remasters, which can be expected as it is the sequels. [h1]Nice one[/h1] i'm going through all the FFs in order. just finished my full achievement run in FF 3. out of FF 1-3, this one is definitely the most interesting to re-play: [list] [*]character progression is similar to FF 1, but there are more jobs, and you can level them up on every character! and some of the starting jobs stay useful all the way to the endgame; [*]the game introduced hidden items, and your run will be significantly easier if you pay attention and find them all; [*]even on x1 boost you barely need to grind to finish the game, especially if you open every chest and find the hidden items. FF 2 was way more of a slog in this respect; [*]bestiary entries are now x2 compared to the previous parts; [*]dungeon difficulty and size grow more evenly as you progress. and overall the dungeons are no longer as annoyingly confusing as in FF 2 [/list] still, i'll point out a couple of things i didn't like: [list] [*]i really love playing rogue-like characters, but in this game the thief Steal command is useless - it's just a waste of time. you won't be able to steal anything unique or truly valuable from monsters here. the result of stealing from ALL the bosses in the game is…

This game feels like reading the cliffs notes of a really mediocre dnd campaign. Music is good but the combat is just so nothing. I would reccomend this to people who really want to see what the final fantasy franchise was like way back in the day and ff14 diehards that wanna see whats up with all this crystal tower stuff but for general audiences and even jrpg fans, your time is probably better spent elsewhere

Uninstalled when they forced me to learn magic to move forward in the story.
