Job system is the main reason to play this one, the characters/world/story feel pretty generic for the series (unless you're craving yet another Warriors of Light and crystals and void setting)

Absolutely back asswards that none of the extra content like bonus dungeons was added to this and square enix is so out of touch with what their customers want in the west we'll probably never get it.

Final Fantasy V was soooooooooo fun omg. The story is extremely simple, but honestly, I enjoyed it more than FF4. It doesn't try to be anything crazy, and it kept me interested the whole way through. The characters are decent, but I'd say this is definitely one area where FF4 did better. The absolute highlight is the Job System. It's easily one of my favorite gameplay systems in the series so far. Experimenting with different job combinations and making completely broken builds to destroy bosses was just so much fun. It also gives the game a ton of replay value. The soundtrack is still good, but I'd say it's a step down from FF4. Overall, FF5 may not have the strongest story, but its gameplay easily makes up for it. I honestly ended up enjoying it much much more than FF4.

I like bending this game to my will... And also doing the Four Job Fiesta runs where I scream and cuss at it once every couple of years.
