A short and simple JRPG for modern standards which in a lot of ways makes it refreshing just like milk, which is very refreshing and rich in proteins ;)
LOVED this game! I've never played FF 1-5 so this was my first play through of this game and it was exactly what I was hoping for. For context, FF6 is my favorite of the series and probably top 10 games of all times. I replayed through the PR version before this game and went right into this. Seeing where the series started was a great experience. If you don't like the old NES style JRPGs, this isn't going to be for you, but if you do like going back to the older titles like this, I highly recommend this game. Hope everyone who plays it loves it as much as I did.
The Pixel Remaster is the way to go for sure.
I expected tedious grinds with dated mechanics and no QoL but this was actual peak
i recomend this game,
I can definitely see why so many people fell in love with the Final Fantasy franchise after playing the Pixel Remaster of the first game. The music is amazing and really sets the mood, and the world itself feels great to explore. I love how simple it is to play it doesn’t overwhelm you, but still keeps things engaging. Being able to choose different characters for your party is a really cool feature too, since it adds variety and lets you experiment with different setups. That said, the game does show its age in certain aspects, which is expected from something originally released decades ago. But honestly, that’s part of the charm for me. I’ve always had a soft spot for the classics, and this one reminded me why. Overall, I loved playing it, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to experience where the series began.
