Despite looking simple it's really fun. Each run is fast, you can finish it in 15 minutes if you want or build up and try to max things out. After each run you get crystals to unlock features and characters and items in roquelike fashion. Personally i like the equipment tiers and synergies the most, when you combine it with each of the diifferent classes (like at least 9? maybe 12? don't remember cus there's so many to keep track of) you get a seriously cool experience, trying to counter the enemy that similarly can use the same skills and equipment.

I rate this game a 3.5/10 due to it simply being not fun. Yeah, it's an autobattler, but its way too easy. Right off the bat, you'll steamroll anything & everything you encounter. The tutorial translations could use some work because I had no idea what I was doing for a large majority of it. For example, you start the game with the blacksmith, a unique character. The Blacksmith's 1st skill is to combine x3 pieces of gear of the same item quality into the next higher grade. --> Ok, cool, BUT...how do I use the skill??? Cuz i can't use it in battle & I can't figure out how to use it NOT in battle, so basically, I just collected gear & didn't equip it to my crew, hoping i'd figure out the blacksmith's skill. Well, in 43 minutes, I just gave up. If I encountered something as confusing as this, there's got to be other future quarrels I'd have no idea what they are & how to use them, so I refunded. The game has some interesting feats, such as sacrificing a class to create the undead version. But even without equipping gear, game was comically too easy. It's a bit frustrating for the game to be a complete cake walk until the mob before the final boss and I miss the "buy three of the same unit to upgrade a unit" auto chess mechanic of the first game, but I can see it being more enjoyable once the difficulty is higher and you have more unlocks. The emphasis on equipment, whole party buffs, and skill selection is not bad at all however. I would still recommend the first game but it might only be in Chinese. Tentative positive for now.

I don't really get how much strategy there is....avoid battles that are too hard and just do battles that are easily winnable to level up, and repeat forever?

well dam the game lied. Not a 4x, not a dungeon crawler really, it's sortof a roguelike I guess but not really??? It IS an autobattler, but it used to show turn based which makes me more mad that now it's fixed, but not the other tags. If you want a brain turn off game here you go, it's not a creature collector either really if you were hoping for that.

Short, but satisfying game loop. Some of the translations are awkward, but understandable. Supports mods, but most mods are not available in english. Excellent buy for only $5 USD.
