About Wizardry Variants Daphne

Wizardry Variants Daphne carries on the lineage of the classic RPG series, Wizardry. The portal to the labyrinth of despair, where even destruction is pleasure, has opened once again.

■ Story

Once every 100 years, the Abyss opens.
It is a curse of death that consumes the continent. A Warlock who coveted Death, devoured people and animals and enveloped the world in despair.
Inheriting the power to seal the Abyss over generations, kings have continued to protect the kingdom from its curse.
But now, the king has vanished, and the world is being consumed by death, moment by moment.
Resistance itself is meaningless.
There is naught but to perish.

Obviously a mobile game, does not play well with a mouse as you have to slide forward like you're swiping to move. It's bad. I also can't stand games that need to download an extra 10+GB after you load up. Doesn't belong on steam.

Lack of warning or EVER letting you know a quest will instantly fall if you leave a dungeon or dungeon floor. no warning to rest before going back in, just a stupid tiny red dot on a single building. game store has big nose level pricing at 75 US dollars for a single skill xp scroll that only gives 100 xp when skills need thousands to level. no actual description of what 90% of anything even does. broken mechanics that don't even work. mass bugs that break the game yet have existed since launch day. Love wizardry and the manga series based on it. this game is basically phone-ware slop made by trashy devs who think every American is a millionaire and who don't give a crap to fix the actual game.

PC port sucks, play the phone version. It looks and plays better on your phone. I am happy that Steam let me know about this game but I strongly recommend playing it on your phone. It is like night and day of how much better it is overall. Other than that, this is a solid high fantasy dungeon-crawling RPG gacha.

I've been hardlocked out of playing the game for a week and support doesn't know how to fix it. A boss battle bug caused all the buttons to be completely unresponsive. Because of the way it's programmed, restarting the game sends me back to that exact moment in the fight where the bug occured. My account got bricked because of poor programming. It was pretty good up until that point though.
