✦ AI summary

Command one of four iconic Star Trek factions and shape galactic destiny through diplomacy, espionage, warfare, or any combination thereof, with each faction offering unique playstyles and legendary captains to recruit. Build your fleet with iconic starships, make pivotal decisions that define your story, and experience an immersive Star Trek universe where your choices determine your path to victory.

With Star Trek: Infinite there is no singular way to play. Whether you wish to take the route of diplomacy, espionage, warfare, or a mix of all of these, there are multiple paths to victory. You are in the command, and the fate of the galaxy is in your hands!
Choose between the United Federation of Planets, Klingon Empire, Romulan Star Empire, or Cardassian Union. You will take on the role of the leader in charge of all the major decisions of your faction as the game unfolds. With each faction having their own unique styles of play, your decisions determine how successful you are in reaching your goals.
Star Trek: Infinite has been meticulously created to provide an immersive Star Trek experience while allowing you to shape the story of your playthrough according to the choices you make as the leader of your chosen faction. As you take on the role of the Federation, you'll have the opportunity to recruit iconic captains and officers, including Picard, Janeway, Sisko, and Data to name a few. Meanwhile, other factions offer their own set of iconic characters to enlist, such as Gowron, Makbar, Garak, and many more.
Beyond the potential cast of characters you recruit to your faction, the game grants you access to a range of starships from the Star Trek universe, tailored to each faction's arsenal. From the Federation's reliable Intrepid- and Defiant-class ships, the menacing Cardassian Galor-class vessels, the sleek Romulan D'deridex, or even the formidable Klingon Negh'Var battleships.

Of course, the Enterprise-D can be developed and added to the Federation fleet through the bespoke storytelling system developed for Star Trek: Infinite.
Star Trek: Infinite is built upon the core systems of Stellaris, leveraging the deep and complex system and making them its own. Aspects of these systems have been streamlined and simplified to better resonate with the Star Trek franchise.

I would recommend it even though I found out it is now an Abandoned game. Such a shame as it only came out in 2023 & was abandoned in same year. Apparently dev lay offs. Such a shame as there was a lot of updating it needed to be a top notch & would probably rival the old Birth of the Federation game. e.g. there are a lot of bugs that will now never be fixed. Now that it is an abandoned game. sigh. Luckily there are some mods that fix some of the none bug issues. Like there being no Voyager when Janeway returns back to Alpha quadrant for her mission line against the borg. Well there is a mod that adds that ship as well as Sisko's Defiant. Which also was annoying cause Sisko is a recruitable leader later on in the game & no actual Defiant. Even though there is Defiant classes in game. Which made no sense. Which is like WTF. Other things missing that some have made mods to add too. Like in Sol when you start the game there is no Luna or Mars Colony in system & you can't terraform the Luna or Mars. But a mod adds both as already colonized. Yay. There is also no Colonized Risa & no Risian's in game. Same issue for the poor Denobulan's too. But there is a mod to sort these 2…

Star Trek: Infinite is while based on Stellaris, a completely separate game.... It's game p[ay reminds me of the older Star Trek: Federation game and that is one reason I aquired it. The other reason is that is just plain fun to play any of the major galactic powers.

This is just a reskin of another game. There are in my opinion, way to many things to do and not enough action or exciting moments. If you dream of playing the roll of Commander of Starfleet, than this is for you. If you want to be a Starfleet Captain, I'd skip this, unless its on a deep discount sale like it is as I write this. I'm just not sure it's work the hard drive space. Note: I added some mods which made the game a bit more enjoyable.
