Songs of Silence

Beautiful art, an amazing soundtrack, and really fun gameplay! I love the mix of map exploration, kingdom management, and the unique card-based auto-battler combat, reminded me of Warhammer :-) It’s easy to pick up but still has a lot of strategic depth. Definitely worth picking up!

The game gave me a fun and challenging strategy experience. I mostly played the Skirmish mode, and the AI gave me a harder time than I expected :d, so the matches were very enjoyably challenging. Overall, I liked the game; I’d say the general atmosphere, gameplay, and so on were all nice. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys this type of game.

Wow this was a very enjoyable game. The game vibe feels like a combination of Battle for Westnoth and Age of Empires. But the whole gameplay actually feels not that complicated once you get the hang of it. The way you interract with the game is by issuing a card that can be played as a strategic move. I personally really like auto battler so this was a great start for me. The world building the game has is quite nice. There are so many things player can learn but at the same time, it's not too much. You don't need to learn everything on the character or every stats of the character to play. This is a great boost for me because I can learn while playing. I would play it for several more hours right away if not for the fact that I got jobs to do. Will try more later. Giving this review first before playing more since I tend to forget to write one when I already play more. Notes: This is a strategy game that doesn't force you to learn much to start. Mastering it is another thing tho. I only encounter one problem: - In tutorial Campaign 1, if it's your very first run, "Cavalry Charge" can be used multiple times. Would love to see more the dev has to offer!

The game's Art Nouveau-inspired visuals are absolutely stunning and easily its biggest highlight. Every scene feels like a beautifully illustrated storybook, from the character portraits and tarot cards to the vibrant world map. The art direction gives the game a unique identity that immediately stands out. Combat offers an interesting twist on the auto-battler formula. Instead of micromanaging every unit, you command your army by playing tactical ability cards at the right moment. Features like slow motion make timing your abilities incredibly satisfying and add a surprising amount of strategy to each battle. The soundtrack and voice acting are excellent, adding a great deal of atmosphere and emotional weight to the journey. Even after only about an hour of gameplay, the story had already pulled me in with its themes of war, displaced refugees, and the mysterious force known as The Silence. The UI is also clean and easy to understand, making it simple to learn the game's systems without feeling overwhelmed. Overall, the game leaves a very strong first impression thanks to its distinctive art style, engaging tactical gameplay, and compelling world-building.

The visual design, music, and atmosphere were very well done. Progressing through the map, improving your army, and using cards during battles was very enjoyable. The story was also quite good, and the game quickly draws you in. If you enjoy fantasy strategy games, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

The first true successor to the (as of late) ruined gem that was HoMM. Also has a blend of Kessen mechanics. It's beautiful, the UI, and gameplay mechanics are spot on, and this is making my new favorite game slot in my profile. Well done, devs. Very well done.
