About Revulsion
Revulsion takes classic Doom and Quake style gameplay and combines it with a loot based shooter. This involves getting better and better weapons and armor as you climb toward the level cap. In addition to that, there is a large amount of potential loot that you can discover to help you along the way. Weapons, armor, and even special abilities that are tied to limited resources. You will have the ability to craft items from blueprints, as well as repairing broken items that you may find throughout the world. You will navigate both hand crafted and randomly generated level design to unravel a series of increasingly more dangerous environments.
Revulsion is a game that is meant to challenge you without being unfair.

Remember Paranutical Activity? It feels like PA, but looter shooter. Sadly there are no updates since end of 2020. But in overall the game is good.3 found this helpful
Revulsion is a first person shooter with loot, but unfortunately not a good one. The shooting is supposed to be fast-paced, but ends up being slow-paced and incredibly monotonous due to the amount of hitscan enemies with high health and high damage: also, the level design is mostly garbage, in multiple occasions the game will force you down a dead end to activate a button and once you do so dozens of enemies will spawn in the rooms behind you (all of them already aware of your position, would be too easy otherwise). The levelling is mostly there to occasionally spawn an enemy 4-5 levels above you that will kill you in one shot. The loot is supposed to be interesting, but variety is minimal: I haven't seen any vaguely interesting modifiers such as "this weapon has more accuracy but less DPS", choice of gear always boils down to picking the highest level items you can equip. The crafting has multiple serious issues, including painfully low resource caps (for example you can only hold 25 berserk gems, crafting some items requires 5 of them) and overreliance on a single rare resource. The game as a whole doesn't really explain you how things work and what you're supposed to do, not th…1 found this helpful

A really interesting FPS experience that blends solid gameplay with a neat art style. I'm also positively surprised about the amount of content for the low price.
I'm so starved for looter shooting and this ones not bad at all
The game might be a bit overtuned in difficulty, causing slower gameplay and corner shooting. But death seems to be pretty consequence free, everything just respawns, but your stage completion stays, so you will naturally be able to grind more power while you play. It's a nifty idea to have an open word, missions and a dungeon playstyle open from the get-go. A lot of weapons to try, and after the first mission I'm kitted out with an electric pistol for armored foes, reload free shotgun for close range, sniper for long range and a grenade launcher if I'm feeling chaotic. Out of all these "costs less than a burger" games this might make me the most happy. Honestly if there was weapon or enemy expansions on offer I'd buy them in an instant to support such a simple but does it well game.
A Quake inspired RPG. It's fun. The gunplay is solid, the build variety becomes apparent pretty early on, and the soundtrack is good. All in all, a steal at $3
