Players enjoy this budget VR game's fun Kratos-inspired combat mechanics and creative wave-based arcade gameplay, praising its low price and fresh idea for the platform. However, complaints center on technical issues including clunky AI physics, laggy performance, poor sound quality, control problems with certain VR controllers, and a movement/weapon release system that takes time to master. Despite its dated presentation and short content length of around 30 minutes, most players consider it worth trying at its low price point.
So it's hard for me to believe that I finished this game in 16 minutes. It felt like I played this game longer. I think Steam probably did not keep up with my actual time played because I did start the game from the Oculus Store page (I think the game has 30 minutes of actual content). In any event, I had fun playing this game and I got a nice sweat going. As the store description says, there are only 3 levels. None of the levels are particularly long. You do teleport to nodes. Most of the nodes you teleport to will have various enemies. You will be fighting quite the number of enemies in certain waves. You teleport by shooting a node. There are several enemy types. I think each level brought a new enemy type. You have two basic attacks. One that damages enemies and one that grabs items to damage enemies. And each level has a unique boss. Each boss has a weakness and strategy you have to discover. I found the 2nd boss to be an extremely long fight (felt like a 10 minute fight to me) that is physically draining. The last boss looked epic, but was easily defeated. The game did feel laggy at times, especially when there were lots of enemies. I also had lots of f…5 found this helpful
The monsters look great including the thumbnanil. Controls, animation, and sounds are bad. Recommendation: If it's cheap, give it a try!3 found this helpful
damn!!! This looked so cool,. I'm sure people that can play it LOVE IT,. I wish I could! I'm using Samsung Odyssey controllers, they can hold for 3 fires, with a ton of random flailing, but definately not for four,. I hope some day this gets updated, (and maybe able to SKIP the tutorial if you get stuck!)1 found this helpful
man you cant go wrong for 3$ pros: i felt like kratos from god of war enough said lol, very fun mechanics, decent graphics, fresh idea for VR, great price, decent amount of replayability. cons: bit laggy, AI physics are clunky as ♥♥♥♥ but in a good way lol , im not a fan of the movemnt system. takes a bit to get used to the way the weapons releasse. def get it for its current sale price, def a new fresh idea for VR1 found this helpful
Feels dated in a weirdly endearing way. Apparently, transplanting Kratos's Blades of Chaos into a short arcade game with the janky look and feel of a late-'90s light gun shooter - even the sound quality is kind of abysmal - is a recipe for campy success. A few bucks for some quaint, silly fun.
Sweet concept i like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HOkdIPyfPM&t=1s
