"Mysterica" is a weak and failed VR tech demo, a minimalist/neon arena shooter/brawler with a mild PvP focus and no players, or course, because it's garbage. There is a PvE component, however, so this could be played, but SteamDB clearly shows nobody was interested, for obvious reasons. What do you do in the game? Wave your hands around to "draw" spells or just hack at stuff with the katana thing... fighting waves of neon enemies (because there's no players)... this is a yawnfest. I think it should be mandatory for anyone publishing a game through Steam Direct to answer a simple question first... that being, "What's the point?". This game cannot answer that question, that's for sure. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. That doesn't mean it's okay not to bother! Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money on high end gaming rigs for a reason. And that reason i…

This is genuinely a great pvp game, but it does have next to no playerbase. You best be prepared to have a friend or someone to just play this with. It's not the easiest mechanics to learn, but it's great fun. Finally, the ingame sounds are set to off by default, I may suggest turning that on.

This game feels like a fever dream its nice to deep your toes for vr. Unfortunately, this game has been abandoned yet it feels like a beautiful work of art to my weeb heart. If you wanna go crazy and feel like an anime protagonist I recommend it. Be warned, it's not finished or polished AT ALL. Play at your own risk.
